satisfaction with Muniq
I am a 69-yr old female, in very good health and very physically active (biking, spin classes, hiking, yoga, resistance work). I have been searching for a shake supplement and was excited to read that Muniq is helpful with Bg control. I have used it about 8 times now, starting with only one scoopful, as recommended, and more recently using 1.5 scoopfuls, slowing increasing the prebiotic fiber into my system. I cannot figure out how to bolus for this supplement. My Bg's have been outrageously high each time I've used it, and they have stayed that way for most of the day, regardless of exercise. I am most disappointed in this product... it has had the very opposite impact on my glucose control than advertised. (my A1c is 6.8). Granted, it is a delicious shake, I count all the carbs I add to it (banana, 1/4 c. nonfat, plain yogurt, blueberries, chia seeds, almond milk) and bolus
accordingly. I have tried to determine what the glycemic index is for this product but cannot find it anywhere. I find it hard to believe that T-1's are truly happy with this product.
